Il Gran Sasso

The installation “The Gran Sasso” was conceived for the group exhibition “Entr’acte”, curated by Gino Gianuizzi and Piercarlo Borgogno at Palazzo Albiroli in Bologna. Barbara Fässler’s intervention aims to create the simulation of an authentic experience in nature. As a tourist in the tent, visitors can admire the sunset over the “Gran Sasso”, the highest mountain in the Apennines in the Abruzzo region. The public is invited to enter the tent, to accommodate themselves and to look at the photographs through the green filter of the tent, which colors the ambience of the space.
