Essentials

“Essentials” reflects on the fundamental aspects of human existence through the process of drawing on a photograph. Fässler elaborates her own pictures with different layers, until they reach a painterly level of abstraction and depth. During this ongoing creative process, she takes a practical approach until the unforeseeable result is achieved, at which point she decides to stop.
