Combined Photography 2008-2026

In the 2008–2026 series, “Combined Photography”, pictures from Barbara Fässler’s photographic archive have been selected and combined with others to create intersections of meaning that reinforce each other. The images remain unique but will be presented in a specific order. Her archive has grown steadily over many years, reflecting her observations and perceptions of everyday life. The images act as ready-mades, cut and appropriated from reality. Combining shots from different periods and places opens up meanings through an association game of various interpretations. Each observer will construct their own criteria for what belongs together.
