La cognizione del dolore
“Acquainted with Grief” is the most autobiographical book of the great Lombard author Carlo Emilio Gadda: the glorification of a missed life after youth, which has been wasted without leaving any traces in order to give voice to bitterness, pain and mercy. The story takes place between 1925 and 1933 in two imaginary South American countries, a disguise for Brianza in the Milanese hinterland. The presentation gives an interpretation of the text as a process of knowledge, as an individual Via Crucis of pain.
