ArTransit / Performance - Train
The main piece of the ArTransit project are performances in the train between Milan and Zürich: in an ideal and real movement, Lombardy, Italian and German Switzerland become connected. In the Special Train TILO, Swiss and Italian artists create performances. The activities are enlarged by Carlo Emilio Gadda lectures and Enrico Filippini’s texts and by Emilio Fantin’s Ateneo Dynamico project, where a group discusses philosophical and cultural issues. Aside from the actions inside the train, some amateur theatre groups perform their short performances following the Gotthard route, while the train is passing very slowly. This part of the project was organized by the theater pedagogy of the Zurich University of Arts. Upon arrival in Zürich Hardbrücke, the alphorns play from the skycrapers and another group of performers from the three regions act in the spaces of the Zürich University of the Arts (ZHdK) the artransit event Labour 2.
