Balcone 1-6

The balcony series represents a reflection on representation, on the image and on the role of the frame in an artwork and in reality. The pictures of those balconies from a suburb in Milan are taken frontally through the separating glass with its regular grid and iron frame. The images though have been naturally filtered through the glass and been framed as an art work by the surrounding blue metal. The result is a series of similar and at the same time different pictures with a grade of abstraction and different compositions and colors. The pictures are found by chance, as every photograph can be considered a Ready-Made the artist has chosen and extrapolated from the real world.
