Visits

Since knowledge is acquired through different techniques and channels, a methodical differentiation while teaching is fundamental not only in art education. To alternate the lessons in the classroom with excursions or visits brings the necessary variety to the scholar’s daily life and teaches him through a different and direct experience with artistic or professional spaces and with practitioners of a particular art sector. So Barbara Fässler aims to create a continuing osmotic exchange between school and art in real life in order to ensure students learn that art and art professions are part of reality, personified by people like you and me. Beside the regular visits to exhibitions, she invited a series of art operators such as Rosalia Pasqualino di Marineo from Fondazione Piero Manzoni, Nanni Albera and Rita Saragoca, architects from the Albera-Monti studio, the artist Gabriele di Matteo, the caricaturist Caspar Frei and the illustrator Beppe Giacobbe in order to present their work and to discuss different aspects with the students and tell of their own experience and practice.
